Only By Working Together, You Can See Each Other's True Colour

We all knows that many problems will occur when it comes to group working. Doesn't matter when you are a student, or a working adult. Problems like team mate not cooperating, lack of communication and understanding, and irresponsible team mate always give us a lot of trouble in working on a project. Sometimes dealing with all these pressures under a limited time is very frustrated too.

I am so 'unlucky' that I get to do deal with all these problems often and I think I sort of get used to them. Every time when I was almost to the point of emotionally breakdown, I find some new way to adapt and comprise to the obstacles.

First thing when you are stressing out and all the problems seem like going out of control, take a deep breath and think of something happy, something that is not related to your current problem at all. After that, convince yourself that you will always be able to find a solution and this is not the end of the world. Whenever you feel frustrated again, repeat recalling all the happy things for example what you are going to do after this project ends. This seems like really cheering and uplifting.

When it comes to problem with team mate, the best solution is to talk to others and listen to others. Communication is very important for you all can know what problems are you facing. If you never try and talk to others about your problem, your team mate might assume that you are fine with everything and things are under control.

However, there are many cases that team mate doesn't listen to you. ( LOL I am sure when you start reading that I said communication, the first thing you think of is they wouldn't listen to you.) Okay, if this is the case and communication serves no help, the only thing you can do is let go. See if in the whole case, you are not getting support from most of your team mate, stop arguing. Adapt and obey. Arguing are just going to create more and more problem which is the last thing that you will wish to have. Comprise is the way to keep yourself from stressing all the way out. But there is one thing that I will do when the condition is like this, I will start praying and helping on finishing the project earlier so that I don't have to suffer in this type of conflict anymore. Nice huh?

Besides this, I bet you have your own problem too. Never keep things until the last minute as we all know that you can never finish it. Do it under your own schedule and keep track on your progress with your team mate as well. This is almost as important as communicating.

Happy Belated New Year all!

So it's already 8th of Jan 2011, it seems like only yesterday when everyone was celebrating the new year and talking all about their new year resolutions. As I've posted on my facebook account, I do not have any new year resolution yet. Yes... I know this is not a good thing to start a new year out. That's why when I start to write this post, I also think about what I should do and what I need to do in year 2011.

There's a lot of things that you know or you might not know about me. I am sorts of a sensitive fella, even though I never show it out. I cry easily when I am emotional, doesn't matter it's regarding something happy or sad. This is one of thing that I seriously need to change about myself this year. I have to try and care less about everyone that actually tensing myself out. I should learn to love myself more and become more optimistic. And because sometimes I tolerate so much that I let people affect me, I need to be stricter to myself. I've already started sticking to this resolution and of course... my close friends know what I am going through lately.

Next I want to get all my work done earlier than the deadline. I've always have this problem that I put all my works until the 11th hour and it put me into a few problems in year 2010. This year I will get all my homework done so much earlier before the day I've have to pass 'em up and also I will try to revise all my lecture notes right after the lecture, not until exam is around the corner. I believe if I work this out correctly, I will be able to get lots of works done.

Here's a secret which most of the people know (I bet it's not a secret anymore ;) ), I am a serious and addictive shopaholic. The first sign I notice I am one is when I read the novel of shopaholic by Sophia Kinsella and I have lots of similarities to the main character in the book who are also a shopaholic. I get excited when I go for shopping and especially using money; sometimes I buy things that are unneccessary and most importantly, I can't save money. Whenever I have some cash, I use them. This is what I am going to do this year to solve this problem, I am going to buy only what I really need, and I will try to find an alternative for my hobby of shopping. Furthermore, I am planning to get a new camera for myself (sorry, I am not thinking of a DSLR, I want a compact camera, so don't ask.)

Oh yea, not to forget about the one last thing of my new year resolution. This year I am going to love you more and more and more. :) Sorry.... I mean all my friends. Hope that this will be a good year for everyone. Happy belated New Year 2011.

My Toothie Diary.

Hey guys, I went to the dental clinic few weeks ago and got some treatment for my teeth. I feel great with my teeth now because they are so clean and it makes me really comfortable.

I went to the clinic where I got appointed with a 3rd years dentistry student from my school who are doing her clinical session (hands-on session). On my first appointment, she did a checkup on my teeth and found out there's quite a lot of problems with my teeth. I have a few teeth missing and I have been lack of dental checkup these recent years. Next she did scaling on my teeth and guess what? It takes her 2 hours to do the check up and scaling my lower teeth. However, I didn't blame on her, as she is still a dentistry student and some more my treatment is free of charge (for our school student). She gave me some advice that I pay more attention to my oral hygiene.

Last week, I went for my 2nd appointment and she did the scaling of my upper teeth. She also polished my teeth on that appointment. This takes me another 2 hours. :( I complaint to her that sometimes there's some discomfort when I try to bite with my posterior tooth, both left and right side. She took me to get an xray for my teeth. I had a really hard time doing that as I have a small mouth. It was difficult for her to get her tools into my mouth (pity her and ME!). At last I finished my second appointment.

This coming Friday will be my third appointment and she said she is going to do restoration of my teeth for me and MAYBE removal. (Ouch!) I am scared but I am taking this as a lesson to take good care of my oral hygiene. She told me that I was lack of oral hygiene and that I should pay more attention to this. I was not using floss or mouthwash and I was only brushing once in a day. But now, I am still not using floss or mouthwash, I brush more than once a day. This is kind of good for a person as lazy as me. Now I wanted to keep my oral hygiene good so that I don't have to suffer another appointment with my operator anymore.

7-zip. An awesome file archiver.

7-zip is a file manager and compression tools. This software is really awesome that I wanted to share with everyone.

I came over with this software after I have been so sicked and tired of my winzip, that asked me to upgrade it to a valid registered version. I do not really remember how I got this software. Maybe from a friend or I accidentally found this software on the internet. Well, but it does not matter. The only thing that matters is that this file archiver is very easy to use and itcompression and extraction speed is extremely fast.

Normally every computer bought came with a compression and extraction tool like winzip or winrar. However, some of them are trial version and after a per

iod you will be asked to buy it. I had a lot of experiences with these kind of stuffs so I always came over with all these free software. Yea, 7-zip is totally free. They never require you to buy in order to use. I have been using 7-zip to extract all my .rar/.zip file for more than half year and I never have problem with it.

Now why do I said that 7-zip is easy to use. Its interface and all the function can be done in just a click. Here is a screenshot of my 7-zip (please ignore my files :p).

By clicking the add button, you can choose the file that you want to extract or compression. After that click the extract button to extract. Just that easy right?

Do not worry that extracting files are slow, not with 7-zip. You can extract files in just a minutes, of course it depends on how large is your files. This is pretty awesome!

Okay, the most important thing is that how to get this software. Go to this link http://www.7-zip.org/ and download the .exe file. Install it and you should be able to use. Enjoy it!
